Dr. Huey Miin Lee
Paediatric Gastroenterologist
Dr Huey Miin Lee is a Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Townsville University Hospital. She provides comprehensive care for children with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, coeliac disease, constipation, cow’s milk protein-induced colitis, and functional abdominal pain disorders. She has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and has contributed to peer-reviewed research in this field.
Dr Lee completed her medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2008. After two years working in Edinburgh, she moved to London in 2010, where she undertook dual specialist training in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. During this time, she worked across several major London hospitals, including King’s College Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and the Royal London Hospital, before being appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at King’s College Hospital in 2018, where she worked for over five years.
In 2024, Dr Lee completed a Paediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Lee is actively involved in medical education and training. She previously served as Lead for Undergraduate Paediatrics at King’s College Hospital and is currently an Honorary Senior Lecturer at James Cook University.
